Lucknow's Radio City 91.1FM's Summer Workshop draws to a close with a Grand Finale

MUMBAI: Celebrating summer in true Radio City style, the FM station spelt 'Whatte Fun' for parents in Lucknow! Adding a cool dash of 'Whatte Fun' to the scorching summer heat, Lucknow's Radio City 91.1FM concluded its month long Summer Fest - The Radio City Summer Workshop bringing a 'Whatte Fun' extravaganza for both for parents and children alike! Exclusively organized for Lucknow's Radio Cityzens, the Grand Finale of the Workshop at Inox, Gomtinagar on Saturday, June 21, 2008 offered families an opportunity to enjoy with a series of fun-filled activities with their children. With an hour packed with thrill and 'Whatte Fun' along with the much-admired RJ Vera, children aged 7-12 proudly displayed their works of art and presented their musical performances at the Grand Finale.

The mall was abuzz with excitement and fervour, thanks to hundreds of young Radio Cityzens and their beaming parents. Participants of The Radio City Summer Workshop put together power packed performances along with a mind blowing act by Mr. Amit Srivastava, the beloved music guru who had trained the young musicians. Lucknow Radio City 91.1FM's Summer Workshop was a breather to the anxious parent's apprehensions on their children idling away their time during their summer vacations! The children were thrilled with a chance to move away from the mundane routine of schools and exams and explore their artist within!
Sharing his thoughts on this initiative, Mr. Rana Barua, National Head - Programming and Marketing, Radio City 91.1 FM said, "Come summer vacations and parents are looking at avenues to add to their children's extra curricular learnings. While several options are available, there may be little time or information for parents to register their children for such workshops. That's where we can help them out! Through our Summer Workshop, we presented our listeners a single destination with a plethora of exciting activities for their children. The feedback to our Workshop has been tremendous and we're thrilled that thanks to Lucknow's Radio Cityzens - parents and children alike, our initiatives has been a great success!"

Exclusive and complimentary for Radio Cityzens, The Radio City Summer Workshop presented Lucknow's children the much needed entertainment break along with enhancing their creativity. Trained under the tutelage of Mr. Amit Srivastava, expert in Music and Mr. Jawahar Shrivastav an authority on Fine Arts, the children proudly showcased their creative prowess and works of art at the Grand Finale of the Workshop held at Inox along with LIVE on stage performances and won goodies courtesy Radio City, Sri Ram Swaroop Memorial School and Chappan Bhog.

Children aged 7-12 years keen to be part of The Radio City Summer Workshop registered themselves through on-going promos on-air Lucknow's Radio City 91.1FM. Basis a short-listing process, 100 lucky talented geniuses got to be part of this 'Whatte Fun' Workshop. Deserving talents won exciting prizes courtesy Chappan Bhog and Inox during these sessions thus adding zeal to these aspiring youngsters' creative traits!
