Mirchi wins 13 in '13
MUMBAI: India’s hottest radio station, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, is India’s favorite radio station too! This was echoed at India Radio Forum’s (IRF) Excellence in Radio Awards 2013 concluded on 28 May 2013.
Mirchi’s continuous innovation, unique programming content, engaging on-ground activations, and customized services to brands was recognized and felicitated by the jury members at this industry event.
Radio Mirchi added 13 awards across the metro and non-metro cities and languages to its kitty making it the highest awarded radio station of India.
With their remarkable and appealing programming content, Radio Mirchi grabbed 4 prestigious awards in the Programming Category. While RJ Anant and RJ Saurabh’s Hi Delhi! won the Best Breakfast Programme/Show (Hindi), RJ Bharti’s Cassette Classics, won Best Programme Broadcast After 11am (Telugu). Mirchi’s Chander Pahar and Mirchi Natak Mandali were announced as the Best Radio Progamme (Bengali) and Best Radio Programme (Marathi) respectively. The stations engaging and popular jocks bagged 3 prestigious awards, making it the highest awarded radio station in the Talent Category. RJ Dhamayanthi (Madurai), RJ Dhvanit (Ahmedabad) and RJ Bhushan (Nashik) went home with RJ of the Year.
In Promotion & Marketing category, Radio Mirchi was felicitated with ?5 awards. For its campaign on 80 Years of Tamil Cinema and Voice of Vizag, the station grabbed Best Radio Promo - In-House (Tamil) and Best Radio Promo - In-House (Telgu) awards respectively. For its Mirchi Voting Anthem specially created to encourage citizens of Gujarat to cast votes responsibly, was favored by the jury for Best Radio Promo - In-House (Gujarati) award. Punyat Asach Asta campaign of Radio Mirchi Pune station which features quirky picks on the Pune-ites was awarded as the Best Radio Promo – In-House (Marathi). RJ Anmol’s Bus Itna Sa Khwab Hai on Purani Jeans was applauded and felicitated with Best On Ground/Activation by an FM Station. In the Advertising Category, Radio Mirchi was awarded with Most Effective Use of Radio in an Activation Campaign award for its Vodafone Speed Fest.
