Music Launch of EMI
MUMBAI: For the first time in the history of the Indian film industry, the music launch of a film had been conceptualized as a televised event on Friday evening when the launch of the movie EMI took place. The event was hosted by Seemanto Roy of Sahara One Motion Pictures, Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd and Suniel Shetty of Popcorn Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd, at the Intercontinental Grand in the suburbs. Over mind blowing performances by the stars and a thronged by Bollywood and few television artists, this event was one grand affair.
Seemanto Roy came in with beautiful wife Chandni Roy while Suniel Shetty was being the perfect host and taking care of his guests and talking to the media. The compeers of the evening Rakshanda Khan and Sunil Pal were keeping the entire crowd in splits and entertaining to the hilt. Jeetendra was seen in full support of daughter Ekta while Tusshar Kapoor came straight from his shoots.
Govinda walked in briefly to congratulate good friend Suniel and headed for the post event party Sanjay Dutt was accompanied by Manyata and were seen enjoying the function.
There was a continuous round of performances by various artists like Urmila Matondkar, Malaika Arora Khan, Dino Morea, Silk Route band and debut music director Chirantan Bhatt. A pregnant Samita Bangargi who joined later was evidently glowing and cheering when Ashish Chowdhary was performing with Neha Oberoi. Arjun Rampal was cheering co-actors too. The director of the movie Saurab Kabra was visibly excited, it being a big day for him.
The event that was thronged with a lot more guests included celebritites like directors like Sanjay Ghadvi, Abbas Mustan, Priyadarhsan , Rahul Dhoalakhi, producer Ratan Jain, Divya Khosla Kumar, Vidya Malvade, Celina Jaitley, Aarti Chabria who came with mom, Javed Jaffrey, Sameer Dattani, Mimoh, Sophie Chowdhary, Tulip Joshi, Kim Sharma from the filmy world Well when Ekta had to be a part of it, one wouldn't be surprised to see some of her favourite television artists joining in too. Hiten Tejwani came with wife Gauri. Also present were Ram Kapoor and Prachi Desai who seemed to feasting on sweets and having a gala time.
The sensational Music is given by Chirantan Bhatt with lyrics by Sarin Momin & Hamza Faruqui, and a dynamic list of singers. The music is on T Series and the dances have been choreographed Bosco, Ceasar & Harshal & Vithal.
The episode is to be aired soon on Star Plus. The peppy EMI Title track has been rendered by none other than Sunjay Dutt, supported by Suzan, Earl, and Mahalaxmi Iyer. The 'disco' song Aaja' is crooned by Shaan with Backing Vocals by Suzan and Rishi. The romance between Sunjay Dutt and Urmila Matondkar is given voice by the soft vocals by Mohit Chauhan in Baithe Rahe.
