MyStudio Announces the Winner of the "Go to the Grammy's" Music Contest and the New York Gotham Comedy Club Contest
MUMBAI: Studio One Media, Inc. just announced the winner of their very first MyStudio Music Contest sponsored by the GRAMMY Foundation, KISS.FM and MyStudio and MyStudio's first comedy contest, The MyStudio Gotham Comedy Challenge....
Nick Heward, who recorded his original song, Mary Jane, inside the MyStudio audio/video recording studio, entered his video online at www.mystudio.net with hopes of receiving the most online votes from MyStudio members. Nick won the trip for two to the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards and two tickets to the official GRAMMY party which will be held on "GRAMMY Sunday," Feb. 8, 2009, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, and once again will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Creating a music video gave me the opportunity to evolve … to make a song I believe in truly visible,... stated Nick Heward. I greatly appreciate MyStudio for creating the opportunity for young musicians like myself to be seen and heard....
Josh Brekus won the Gotham Comedy Club judges over with his 3 minute audition video he recorded at MyStudioâ„? and posted at www.mystudio.net. The contest gave MyStudio users the opportunity to participate in a nationwide comedy talent search that could launch a career in comedy. For Josh Brekus, this may just be his chance.
"I am really excited. I never dreamed when I made my MyStudio videos, it would result in something as big as this,... stated Josh Brekus. Playing at Gotham, being on the stage with all those major stars and auditioning for "Live at Gotham... was something I hoped to do in like five years, maybe."
The MyStudio video recording studio is located at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall in Scottsdale, Ariz. Users can choose from a variety of backgrounds and songs from a vast catalog of licensed music for their videos. The videos can be posted online for the public to view within minutes. In June, MyStudio announced a multiyear agreement with EMI Music Publishing, the world's leading music publisher and most recently multiyear partnerships with The GRAMMY Foundation, Gotham Comedy Club of New York City, and reality TV giant, Mark Burnett Productions.
