Nine FM witness a historical landmark in the world of Soccer

MUMBAI: While the whole world is waiting for the FIFA World Cup 2010 to begin, NINE FM Gangtok is eagerly engaged in promoting The Denzong Boyz football club which has earned its way to the prestigious Second Division I-League this season.

The main mission of the club is to showcase deprived local talent at a national level to show India that there are more Bhaichung Bhutias in this region.

NINE FM as part of the association aired lived interview of the executive members of the Denzong Boyz Football Club. Through NINE FM the club expressed confidence that it is well equipped with a good set of players from Sikkim, Darjeeling & Kalimpong, along with foreign players, to do well in the prestigious league.

NINE FM & the club decided to conduct a selection trial at Gangtok on 7th March to include more players in the club. NINE urged players from Sikkim and other neighbouring areas to attend the trial. NINE also started a coaching camp for the forthcoming I-league. in Gangtok on 5th March.

NINE FM & The club had also organized a press conference where Mr. Bobby Gupta, Chief Executive of NINE FM reported, Sikkim is a place where people worship football. Football is in their genes. The Denzong Boy's football club is going to be the first local football club to play in the 2nd Division I-League arguably the ultimate destination for new clubs of Indian football. We are glad to be a part of this historical achievement.'
