Numark X2, icdx nominated for 2009 International Dance Music Awards at Winter Music Conference
MUMBAI: Numark, the world's leading manufacturer of DJ technology, announces that its X2 hybrid turntable/CD player and iCDX CD player/software controller have been nominated for International Dance Music Awards.
Numark's X2 has been nominated for the Best Turntable and Best Pro Studio Product of the Year awards. The innovative combination turntable and CD player merges traditional vinyl record feel, sound and DJ tradition with the capability to play standard and MP3 CDs. This unique deck enables DJs to scratch, cue and control tracks on both vinyl and CD using the turntable. This configuration delivers the feel of a record with the flexibility and ease of transport that CDs provide.
Numark's similarly innovative iCDX has been nominated for the Best CD Player award. Like X2, iCDX merges multiple technologies and media types into a single player. This advanced tabletop CD player not only plays standard and MP3 CDs, it also functions as a controller for nearly any DJ software or USB mass storage device. DJs can perform on iCDX with a wide variety of media including USB thumb drive, USB hard drive and iPod.
The 24th Annual International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) will be presented on March 26, 2009, at the Winter Music Conference in Miami Beach, Fla. The IDMA is the premier awards show for the dance and electronic music industry worldwide. DJs and producers cast their ballots for the most pioneering and elite artists, technology and professionals in the dance-music business.
