Poonam Dhillon's Poetic Justice
MUMBAI: The launch of poetic justice Films and Entertainment was a grand affair with the cr?me de la cr?me in attendance at the Westin Hotel. This new venture is the brainchild of Poonam Dhillon and industrialist Aneel Murarka. Ace Choreographer Samir Tanna is also part of the core team.
Poetic Justice offers state-of -the-art services for event management, celebrity management and also promises to begin a whole new chapter in the entertainment industry with their foray into production of films, advertising commercials and content for television.
Their event management skills were on ample display at the launch as the live band had the audience on their feet with some pulsating music. Kailash Kher regaled the audience with his soulful rendition of “Teri Dewaane”. Jaspinder Nirula's performance of “Pyar to hona hi tha” was amongst the memorable highlights of the evening. The fashion show was a riot of colours and had top models like Alecia Raut walking the ramp. Rakshanda Khan anchored the show in her charismatic style.
Marquese Scott was flown all the way from Atlanta and he literally danced his way into the hearts of the packed audience with his spectacular performance. The occasion was doubly special for Poonam Dhillon as she also celebrated her birthday with her near and dear ones and cut a huge ceremonial cake specially prepared for the occasion.
Bollywood was present in full strength to support one of its favorite actors. Jackie Shroff was in high spirits. Also spotted were David Dhawan, Satish Kaushik and Pam Chopra. Gulshan Grover was more than generous to the shutterbugs as he posed on a royal silver throne in his trademark style. Alka Yagnik , Babul Supriyo and Abhijit also spent quality time at this exclusive gathering. Alexey Novikov, Consul General of Russia was accompanied by his wife and so was Faramarz Bayani, consul General of Afghanistan. Anu and Shashi Ranjan, Zarine Khan, Ila Arun, Arun Sharma, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, Venugopal Dhoot, Udit Narayan and many others were seen cheering the performers and the song and dance continued till the wee hours.
Russian Dancers also took centrestage in the open air enclosure with some exotic performances. Dr Rishma Pai was grooving to the music and was accompanied by her husband Dr Hrishikesh Pai. Hard Kaur had the audience in splits with her extended hinglish vocabulary. Poetic Justice well and truly prevailed.
