Rabbi to perform at World Sufi Spirit Festival
MUMBAI: The World Sufi Spirit Festival (WSSF) hosts an eclectic mix of artists every year to create an enriching experience for music aficionados. This year the ever popular Rabbi will be performing at WSSF.
Rabbi has come a long way since the success of his debut album. This year audiences will get to see a different side to Rabbi as he performs songs of memorable journeys through life. This elusive yet very talented artist will be seen sharing a common platform with leading exponents of Sufi.
Back in its 6th year with a host of talent from across the world, WSSF is all geared up to enthrallmusic aficionados.With the serene Mehrangarh and Ahichhatragarh Forts as the backdrop, these leading exponents of Sufi will showcase an enriching amalgamation of musical traditions that descend from across varied geographical boundaries. This year WSSF will bring forth traditions of the East, Asia and Africa to the rich heritage of India.
This edition promises to be a memorable journey; a magnificent evocation of the sacred through the ancient traditions that will enchant one and all. The mystical state of Rajasthan will witness performances by talented artists from Egypt, Turkey, France, Pakistan, Paris, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Cochin and Lucknow along with the traditional Rajasthani folk musicians, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the state.
Hosted by the Royal family of Jodhpur, WSSF will kick start on 22 February at Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur and will culminate on 27th February at Ahichhatragarh Fort, Nagaur.
