MUMBAI: Radio Mango and Idea have launched Decibel, Kerala's first Rock Music Contest.

An on ground event spanning touch points across the state, Decibel promises the winning band 1 lakh in cash prize, an album release by Manorama Music, and the chance to compose the theme song to hit film director Amal Neerad's upcoming movie.

Auditions will be held across the month of March, and the finalists will perform at the grand finale in Kochi on the 24 March in a rockfest fronted by the rock band Avial.
