MUMBAI: On Jan 1, 2009, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, India's hottest Radio station launched a new devotional show called Mirchi Devaragam with the goal of giving the Mirchi listeners an auspicious start to their day. As a progression of this ideology Radio Mirchi is providing its listeners in Chennai an exclusive opportunity of free �Tirupathi Darshan' by participating in a contest on this show.

Announced early last week, Radio Mirchi's on going weekly contest â€?Free Tirupathi Darshan'  on the â€?Devaragam' show has Chennai listeners participating in an SMS contest and every week, two selected couples are provided with an opportunity to go on a free Tirupathi Darshan.

Sharing his happiness on being the first winner to go on the Darshan Mr. Jayaraman said, When I left for the trip, I had an unresolved property dispute and my only prayer was that it gets resolved at the earliest. I returned back from the Darshan and received news that the dispute was resolved in my favour. I am grateful to Radio Mirchi for providing me this opportunity to visit Tirupathi. I am confident that all the winners of this Darshan will get what they pray for...  Every week two lucky couples will get chosen to go for the trip. The trip has been organized in association with a reputed travels company in the city, Shri Balavinayakar Travels. The winners are not part of an entourage; they will travel to Tirupathi in an AC car ensuring their comfort and safety.

The devotional show, Devaragam is hosted by Chennai's favourite RJ Deva (RAPA Award winner – Best Female Jockey) everyday between 5.00 am and 7.00 am. The show also has two celebrity guests – Mrs. Revathi Shankaran and renowned astrologer Shri. Kaliyoor Narayanan. Mrs. Revathi Shankaran hosts Bhakti Neram... enlightening listeners on divine stories, thoughts, temples and religious practices.
