Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM takes Mumbaikars on an awareness drive
MUMBAI: In response to the recent Mangalore pub episode and anti-pub outcry all over the country, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, India's Hottest Radio station had undertaken a mission to educate people on the pub culture.
Aimed at educating its listeners and to break the myth of the �immoral indecent pub', Radio Mirchi conducted a special visit for the listeners and their parents to one of the most happening pub's in Mumbai.
Organised on Saturday, 7th February, Radio Mirchi had invited listeners who were misled by the propaganda and took them to visit a pub with extended families for a Mirchidaar evening. The station facilitated all the enjoyment wherein the listeners danced, bonded and had a drink in a safe environment and in a responsible manner along with the RJ's.
Expressing his opinion on the situation, Sriram Kilambi, Station Director, Radio Mirchi, Mumbai said, We at Radio Mirchi felt that it was the need of the hour to inform and educate people who are not familiar with pubs. By launching this awareness drive we have made an appeal to all our listeners to retain our tolerant cultural identity and not believe in propaganda blindly. We are confident that our initiative has made a difference and we expect that our listeners will evaluate situations and not be led by trouble-making groups...
