Radio Mirchi's 'Purani Jeans contribution campaign'
MUMBAI: In continuation with its journey of extending a helping hand to the underprivileged and needy, Radio Mirchi 98.3FM, India's Hottest Radio station, culminated the celebrations of its Purani Jeans contribution campaign in Delhi today. As part of the drive, RJ Sayema had requested Delhiites to contribute their Purani Jeans in return for the extension of her show for another 60 minutes on the completion of Radio Mirchi's six astounding years in Delhi.
Announced early this month, the initiative was an attempt to provide relief to the economically backward sections of society in a unique Mirchi way. The campaign not only received an overwhelming response from listeners, but owing to its impact also gained the support of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi – Ms. Shiela Dixit The entire collection of over 1400 jeans was handed over to the voluntary organization Goonj.
