MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal partnered with a beauty pageant aimed at encouraging budding talents from North Bengal in Siliguri. The event was organised by Uttar Ananadabanga patrika.Scores of budding models participated in the event, named Miss North Bengal 2010 which promised them a wider and progressive exposure in the national and international arenas.

After gruelling sessions that included mandatory ramp walk and answering questions from the judges, soumita das, student of civil engineering from Jalpaiguri and Priyanka Tarafdar of Siliguri was jointly crowned as Miss North Bengal 2010.While sunanyna sapkota and punam Sharma were adjudged Runners Up. The winners said the event would provide more exposure to regional models.
