Tata Indicom "Dil Ki Awaaz" Music Contest Discovers 8 New Talented Singers
MUMBAI: Tata Teleservices, the fastest growing pan India telecom service provider, today through its Dil Ki Awaaz... talent hunt initiative, selected 8 new talented singers from Delhi & NCR.This initiative was launched in sync with Tata Indicom's new brand positioning – Suno Dil Ki Awaaz which is based on a premise of encouraging young India to listen to their heart and follows their dreams. TataIndicom had rolled out musical carnival where amateurs were given platform to showcase their talent. In all 400 entries were received from participants who either belonged to a band or were stand alone singers.
To celebrate and inaugurate the album of young talent, Tata Indicom launched music album featuring new artists: Narmada, Cipher, Nigambodh, Airborne, Antardhwani, Jasba, Akhil and Mohit, in the presence of Mr. Vineet Bhatia, COO Delhi & NCR, Head North Region, Tata Teleservices Limited, Peenaz Masani and Harshit Saxena (Voice of India fame). The spirit of revelry was further strengthened with live performances by Peenaz and Harshit.
Sharing his views and giving Delhi and NCR fresh new voices/bands in music, Mr. Vineet Bhatia, COO Delhi & NCR, Head North Region, Tata Teleservices said, In our endeavor to promote young and deserving talent, Tata Indicom had promoted Dil Ki Awaaz – musical carnival across all malls and high footfall areas in Delhi. We got a humongous response where 40 entries were shortlisted for auditions and were given opportunity to perform live after competitive stage performances and strict evaluation. Tata Indicom had initially conceptualized the initiative and executed the same in partnership with co-sponsors.
We want to tell the young generation today; don't let the mind weigh every decision in life, sometimes when a desire or a wish is emotionally so close to you let the heart rule,... he added.
The activity was divided into two phases. Right from solo singers to instrumentalists and bands, all were invited to participate and voice their �Dil ki Awaaz'. Post the auditioning; the short-listed bands / singers were invited for stage performance where the bands / singers competed against each other. The best chosen, eight bands / singers in the last round won an opportunity to compose their own album.
The auditions were judged by Anmol Chander (Visiting Faculty of DPS, Noida & Co-founder Noida School of Rock), Abhishek Rai (Guitarist of 'Perfect Strangers' Band, and faculty at Noida School of Rock), Adi and Shiv, Radio Jockey from Radio Mirchi, Tata Indicom and the audience during performances.
