Abhijeet breaks record by singing non stop for 18 minutes

Shine India Pictures film `Apradh Sargana`was launched with an unique song recording at Mars recording studio. Noted Bollywood singer Abhijeet has earned the distinction of singing the longest song ever recorded. The song is of a duration of eighteen minutes.

Singer Sonu Nigam held the earlier record by singing non stop for fourteen minutes. Going a step further is Abhijeet who recorded the song on 3 August 2006. Dilip Tahirr has given the lyrics and composed the music for the song.The film is being written and directed by Yogesh Bhardwaj.

Abhijeet is currently in the news for being the judge on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa`s L`iL Champs, along with Alka Yagnik and Bappi Lahiri.

Born in a middle class Bengali family as Abhijeet Bhattacharya, he went against his parents wishes to become a singer. He came to Mumbai in 1981 to study chartered accountancy, but his fascination for singing and music made him pursue a career in playback singing.

He has become a success after a lot of struggle. He has entrenched himself firmly in the music world, with several other hits like ?‹?“Ole Ole (Yeh Dillagi), the title track of ?‹?“Main Khiladi Tu Anari, ?‹?“Zara Sa Jhoom Lo Main (Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge), ?‹?“Teri Ankhen Jhuki Jhuki (Fareb), ?‹?“Shaher Ki Ladki (Rakshak), ?‹?“Jhanjhriya (Krishna) and ?‹?“Tan Tana Tan (Judwaa).
