Adnan Sami readies for UK tour

MUMBAI: Musician - singer Adnan Sami will be doing a series of concerts in the UK after a gap of three years in a tour organized by Vijay Bhola, Ashok Gadher and Jujar Singh of Safenote Ltd.

The composer singer is scheduled to perform in London with his team of musicians at the Wembley Arena on 18 and 19 October, Nottingham Arena on 11 October and at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow on 14 October.

After Kabhi toh Nazar Milao, Adnan worked on a number of solo albums and film projects – like Saalam-e-Ishq, which was largely appreciated for its soundtrack, and Vikram Bhatt's 1920, where the composer worked with the likes of Pandit Jasraj, Parveen Sultana and Shubha Mudgal. It is believed that the man would soon be working with Jazz bassist Jermaine Jackson, older brother of American Pop star Michael Jackson on a music album.

For his UK tour, Sami would be accompanied by singers like Monali Thakur, a participant of Indian Idol 2 and Javed Ali of Jodha Akbar's Jashn-e-Bahaara fame. In addition to the two singers, item girl Rachna Maurya of 'Deedar De' (Dus) and comedy king VIP will also be joining the talented musician.

Cine Music Directors association Vice President Aadesh Shrivastava was recently in the news for his strong comments on getting Adnan Sami out of India after having an altercation at singer Richa Sharma's birthday party. Guess the man would be happy for few days while Adnan is away!
