Alka Yagnik gets strict in judging l`iL Champs

With seven kids left in the contest, Alka Yagnik has got stern in marking their performances. Every little error is highlighted simply because she feels there is no scope to make mistakes. Abhijeet and Bapphi Lahiri agree to follow suit and guide the kids when they falter.

The kids met Prince who had been rescued from a deep pit and also spent time with children from Magic Bus. Patriotic songs were the theme last Thursday and the kids sang one more time to be judged and got a chance to improve their performances for the elimination round the next day.

Sanchita sang "Rang de basanti" and once agin proved that her strength is keeping the sur. Sameer sang a song rarely heard nowadays "Des mere des mere meri jaan hai tu" and impressed the judges. He got a grade A from all three judges.

Pawni sang "Ae mere pyare watan" and got the expressions and feel right, only made obvious that she changed her voice in the antara. Abhrokanti sang "Zindagi maut na ban jaaye" and was once again reminded by the judges to work on his breathing and showed hurry to complete the song. Diwakar sang "Ye jo des hai mera swades hai mera" but failed to sing it in sur and so got lower grades.

Shraddha gave an excellent performance after ages singing "Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge" and got three A+ , plus an entry to next week. Her mother broke down on receiving the hamper expressing that Shraddha was hurting and feeling low giving average performances last few weeks and this will boost her confidence again.

Armaan sings "Kar chale hum fida" and is asked by Alka Yagnik to come near her for a hug. Bappi Lahiri also comments that it was a milestone song and he performed well. The eliminated kids Neha and Gurpreet give a special closing performance singing "I love my India".
