BAG Films and T-Series bank that Zindaggi will rock

Last week saw the launch of the Anurradha Prasad headed-BAG Films music album of its debut film Zindaggi Rocks in Mumbai`s Taj Land`s End. The label behind the album: T-Series. T-Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar who was present at the occasion said he was delighted to be backing BAG Films debut film and believes the album has a lot of potential, and songs which will help it get picked off record shelves.

The evening was anchored by TV star Hussain with the album being launched by India`s leading Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who sported a thick stubble on his otherwise clean-shaven face. Zindaggi Rocks` cast including Shiney Ahuja, Sushmita Sen, Kim Sharma, Moushimi Chatterjee, director Tanuja Chandra, singers Zubeen Garg, Javed Ali, Tulsi Kumar, Anushka Manchanda (ex Viva) put up sizzling performances on stage. The piece de resistance of the evening was a convincing solo performance by Susmita Sen on the title track which has been crooned by Anushka. The lyrics for the album have been penned by Mudassar Aziz and Syeed Quadri. Other songs on the album include: Meri Dhoop Hai Tu, Pass aayiye, Rabbi, Ek Din Fursat Ka, Hadh Ko Adab Ko and Zindaggi Rocks - you wanna do the jig.

Anu Malik said that he had tried to give the album a unique sound and that it was an amalgam of amorous, romantic, and peppy rhythms.

Others present on the occasion included Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, music composer Anu Malik (he`s composed the music for the eight songs), Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar Tendulkar, home minister Kripashankar Singh, politician Baldev Khosla, Jackie Shroff, singers Kunal Ganjawala with his wife chanteuse Gayatri Iyer, music composer Ravindra Jain, Karishma Kapoor, Amrita Rao, cricketer Kiran More, Suresh and Yashodhra Oberoi, Mukesh and Neeta Ambani, MAdhur Bhandarkar, Subhash Ghai, Satish Kaushik, Yukta Mookhey, Sameer and Savaree Nair, the Kumkum star cast, among many others.
