Big 92.7 FM organizes bike rally in Chennai
MUMBAI: With FM stations fast adopting social causes, the Adlabs radio initiative BIG 92.7 FM organized a `Big Bike Rally` in Chennai as part of its CSR effort to spread awareness about the use of helmets
The rally saw huge participation to promote the usage of helmets and safe driving, states the release.
Said Big FM Station Head-Chennai Subramaniam, "We had Big listeners from three different points in the city converging at Gandhi Statue, at Beach Road and covered all traffic points.This is a dynamic and sensitive issue for the city and the FM station wanted to play a role in promoting awareness.We had almost 30-35 listeners participating in the bike rally."
The station is associated with promoting road safety providing its listeners with an on air show `Traffic Guru` which gives out continuous updates on traffic, safe driving, safety regulations etc.
The FM station also has a team of dedicated of `Traffic Wardens` exclusively employed by Big FM to give live updates from various traffic points.
Speaking about various such initiatives by the station Subramaniam added, "The FM had in the past started a campaign for a child with a fatal heart problem.It was very encouraging to see the listeners contributing generously for her treatment."
