MUMBAI: Post its music repositioning in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, Big 92.7 FM is refining its music in Kolkata with a positioning of Moner Gaan Praner Sur. The new music positioning will include handpicked songs which promise to touches listeners heart and soul, each day. Moner Gaan Praner Sur follows the AC (Adult Contemporary) format, which means the station will play songs that span eras of 60's to 2009, covering a superlative mix of Hindi and Bengali songs. The new positioning was launched by eminent Bengali singers Rupankar Bhattacharjee and ace percussionist Subhen Chaterjee at the studios of Big 92.7 FM amidst a harmonious milieu.

The music offering from the station have been put together after in-depth research and detailed understanding of the music tastes and preferences of the local populace. Thus, Moner Gaan Praner Sur promises to deliver soulful music that will touch both heart and soul, a requirement of every Kolkatan from the music that they listen to. This essentially means that meaningful lyrics and soulful melody are filters that each song will pass before being offered to listeners as they are taken on an aural music tour each day.

Getting people to sample the station on ground, the station is converting the Big Bus into a relaxing lounge which will play Moner Gaan Praner Sur dedications of the public. The bus will travel across the city, with jocks playing contests with the public, taking dedications for their favourite songs and playing them and enjoying refreshments with the public.

In addition the station is also scheduled to break its ATL campaign with Sonu Niigaam as its brand ambassador for its new positioning communication.
