Big FM celebrates national sports day with `Chak De` team
MUMBAI: To celebrate national sports day, radio station Big FM and the Chak De team visited physically challenged children of the Bombay Institute of Deaf and Mute.
As part of the celebration, the kids played games like lemon and spoon race, balancing the book and three legged race. The prizes were distributed by the Chake De team. Big FM Mumbai station head Arjun Singgh Baran said, "We are extremely delighted to be hosting such an event and this initiative is clearly a re-iteration of what we as a station stand for. We are constantly working towards positively impacting lives of people by way of not only entertaining them but by also informing them with a cause. We are glad to be supporting such a cause and it has been a wonderful experience."
Bombay Institute of Deaf and Mute is one of the schools that undergo School Health Education Programme (SHEP) by the Aga Khan Health Service India and is a functionary of the Aga Khan Development Network. The primary focus of the organisation is towards the under-privileged population and it works in partnership with the government and other health providers.
