MUMBAI: Recognizing the best of Asian music and the soul of Asian Youth Culture in the UK, Brit Asia TV has announced the winners of its much awaited Brit Asia Music Awards 2012.

The ceremony awarded various artistes including Honey Singh (Best International Award), Jay Status (Best Newcomer), Jags Klimax (Best Club DJ), Naughty Boy (Best Non-Asian Producer), Amrit Saab (Best Songwriter Award), Jazzy B - Hukam (Best Video), The Entourage (Best Band), Roach Killa (Best Urban Asian Act), Kanika Kapoor 'Jugni Ji' (Best Single and Best Female), Dr Zeus (Best Asian Music Producer), Jazzy B (Best Male) and Amrinder Gill (Best Album – Judaa).

Honoring late great Dev Raj Jassal with Lifetime Achievement Award, the event also hosted special tributes to Kuldeep Manak aka Kuly of UK bhangra-pop band RDB.  Apart from special tribute, the ceremony also witnessed performances by various renowned artistes like Honey Singh, Manmohan Waris, Amrinder Gill, Jazzy B, Jaz Dhami, RDB, Kanika Kapoor, AS Kang, Sukshinder Shinda, Malkit Singh, Lembher Hussainpuri, Dr Zeus and more.
