DJ Samantha Ronson to perform in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Latest updates suggest that British songwriter and DJ Samantha Ronson, who was slated to perform at 'Blue Frog' on 18 August night has been postponed till next week. Though the exact date of her performance is not known yet, BRA founder Sujeet Rammana confirmed that the delay is caused due to some visa issues at Ronson's end.

The Canada based event Management firm Zane Anthony Group is instrumental in getting the 'Pull My Hair Out' composer to India in alliance BRA. When quizzed if Ronson would be playing elsewhere apart from Mumbai, BRA founder Sujeet Rammana said, "Samantha won't be playing anywhere apart from Mumbai, and for the show, she will be playing some House and Techno".

Samantha's close friend and pop singer Lindsay Lohan was also rumored to be at the occasion. However, the recent updates mean that eager music enthusiasts will have to wait to watch the international star perform. Of late, many international musicians have shown an interest in the Indian music scene. Iron Maiden started their 'Somewhere back in time' world tour in Mumbai in February 2008, while Frank Gambale and Maurizio Colonna performed in Mumbai six months ago. The recent Brett Gersad and Virgil Donati concert was well received by the audience and with bands like Deff Leppard who are expected to play by the year end, hopefully, the music hungry youth will be having a lot to look forward to.
