Fever FM's Ramayana now on Apple app store

MUMBAI: After engaging millions of users on radio, Fever FM’s innovative radio drama Ramayana is now available for listeners on the Apple app store across the globe. Targeted towards the Indian audience, the app will be launched on 19 April, the occasion of Ram Navami.

Users can download the application for free from the app store and can experience two free episodes, behind the scene videos, celebrity recordings, dohas and pictures amongst others. Other episodes can be purchased at different packages ranging from Rs 55 to Rs 170.

The popular radio play features 120 episodes, and each episode comprises of 10 minutes approximately. Having a title, each episode has dohas which were composed, sung in-house and carefully crafted by talented producers in the industry.

Commenting on the initiative, HT Media Ltd business head Harshad Jain said, “Ramayana is one of the biggest epics the Indian culture has ever witnessed. Most of us have heard or read about this. The idea behind the initiative is to make this epic available to the audience at their comfort and with the latest technology. The innovative mega production is packaged in such a manner that everyone can relate to it, be it adult or the youth.”

The mythological story is brought alive through 1300 minutes of audio entertainment using the voices of some of the most famous artists from the Indian film Industry including Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Ratna Phatak Shah and Javed Jaffery.
