Frankfinn Music launches Pakistani singer Ali Zafar`s album
MUMBAI: After their foray into Indi-Pop, this time Frankfinn Music has launched a Pakistani artist Ali Zafar`s album `Masty` at Rockbottom Juhu, Mumbai.
The album features eight songs which have been written and composed by Ali Zafar. The main music video of the first song "Sun Re Sajaniya" has been executed by Wize Mindz and jointly directed by Savio from India and Ahsaan from Pakistan.
Another video that will air shortly, is for the title track `Masty`, which has been directed by Shiraz Bhattacharya. Other songs in the album include are `Jaane Na Koi`, `Aasman`, `Khedeyan De Naal` and `Aag Jaisi Ye Jawani.`
The event was attended by Frankfinn Music MD Rakesh Agarwal, VP Kanwal Kohli, Sa Re Gama fame Hemachandra Veddalla,, Preeti Jain, Ganesh Venktraman Harrison, India`s only international superbiking champion Dilip Rogger, television actors Gaurav Chopra, Narayani Shastri, Arjun Punj and others.
Ali Zafar dedicates his second album `Masty` to the youth. "The album aims to get people into a positive mode; I have tried to indulge the youth," he points out.
Hungama Mobile has been roped in for digital downloads on leading mobile networks, simultaneous to the release of the album in India, informs an official release.
After unveiling the album Frankfinn Music vice-president Kanwal Deep Kohli said, "Ali Zafar is one artiste who transcends borders with his music. He seamlessly blends the various forms of modern music with the soul of our region"
"`Masty` is a continuos joyride and each song a true representation of the Talent Power-House - Ali Zafar," he added.
Ali Zafar made his debut as a musician with the album Huqa Pani, released in Pakistan in 2003 and worldwide in 2005, he has also won the Best Music Album at the Lux Style Awards 2004, the Best Debut Artiste at the Indus Music Awards 2004, the Best Album at the Indus Music Awards 2004, and the Best Pop Music Album in Pakistan at the Asian Bollywood Music Awards 2005.
`Masty` previously released by Fire Records in Pakistan is currently topping popularity charts.
