Kailasa releases single for CWG
MUMBAI: After AR Rahman, Palash Sen and Anand Raaj Anand, singer Kailesh Kher with his band Kailasa has come up with a single for the Commonwealth Games. Composed and written by Kailash Kher along with his bandmates Paresh and Naresh Kamath, the single is titled Yaaro Jashn Manao.'
The song, which celebrates the spirit of sportsmanship, will be made available to consumers globally to sample, buy and share via the ArtistAloud website and through Hungama's digital distribution network.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, a consumer campaign has been designed for Kailash Kher's fans to interact with him one-on-one. A three-day promotional campaign will allow fans from across the world to ask him their questions using the social networking forum. A selected number of questions will be answered by the maestro himself on 1 October during a Live Webcast of Kailash Kher's performance of the song along with his band Kailasa.
Speaking about the inspiration to do this song, Kher said, I wanted to make a contribution in my own way at a time when one-third of the world will be our guest. Our brothers and sisters from beyond a hundred boundaries are coming and joining us, and we should make sure this union is one of celebration and sportsmanship, not failure and incompetence. So I decided to do what I do best, and thus made the song Yaaro Jashn Manao, and decided to give it to the city of Delhi....
Kher added that the song has been created to celebrate and motivate the participants of the games and listeners alike. This song was not made to compete with fellow artists but to join fellow musicians in motivating our sportsmen and showing our band's solidarity with them. People will be able to see my vision of celebration and our country's glory in the lyrics of this song....
Commenting on the association, ArtistAloud general manager Soumini Sridhara Paul says, Having Kailash Kher on board ArtistAloud.com to release his song for the Commonwealth Games is an honor. We believe that it is an opportunity that all celebrated artists should take if they want to release a single for a particular cause or occasion....
