Kid Cudi collapses during his concert in Chicago
MUMBAI: Grammy Award winning rapper Kid Cudi collapsed during his performance at Chicago's North Coast Music Festival on Saturday night. On 30 August, while performing his track, 'Pursuit of Happiness', Cudi entered into the photo pit and proceeded to sprint back and forth, interacting with fans along the way. However, after signing a fan's album, he fainted.
Cudi took to micro blogging site- Twitter shortly after the performance to quell fears of serious health concerns; the rapper assured fans he was okay. "I'm ok!! Blessed to have fans who actually give a f*** about me," Cudi tweeted. "Mad love to the security who were there and helped me out tonight. Really awesome dudes! Thanx for nursing me back to health ha. I'll do a better and make sure to eat properly on show days :) scouts honor! I love you Chicago. Don't you forget that s**t. Ever. If I scared anyone tonight I am so so sorry from the bottom of my heart."
Kid Cudi gained recognition after he was signed on by another Grammy Award winning rapper Kanye West to his GOOD Music record label. In 2009, Cudi's debut single 'Day 'n' Nite' from his debut album 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day', reached the top five of the Billboard charts. In 2012, Cudi won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for his work on Kanye West's track, 'All of the Lights'. The song was produced by West and features additional vocals from several other recording artists, including John Legend, The-Dream, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Elton John, and Rihanna.
