Lucky Ali opts for digital release for Xsuie

MUMBAI: There's a chance that you might not be aware of Lucky Ali's new album Xsuie unless you follow his official page on Facebook. The album release is digital and kept relatively low profile compared to his previous releases. Though the album comes after five long years, the time gap' is something Ali doesn't like to believe in, I just didn't feel like coming with an album all this while,... he says. No long stories there.

Xsuie, which means â€?at your own pace', is an album with a whopping 16 tracks – there were more, says Ali, I spent a lot of time working, correcting and short listing the tracks. We must have trashed around 40 tracks,... he says. On this album, Ali has collaborated with some fabulous musicians and one can expect a renewed sound

The first single Dil Gaaye Jaa from Xsuie is already released on nimbitmusic.com/luckyali and bluefrogsounds.com/musicstore and can also be heard on youtube. The remaining tracks will be made available for download at an interval of 10-15 days on the two sites, he says. However, for those who would like to own physical copies of Xsuie will have to wait for 6-8 months for the limited edition CDs

The singer has deliberately kept the album low profile and opted for an online discharge instead of the traditional physical releases which is often marked with fanfare. I didn't want the usual release or the sign on to a label because that again involves the record label business hassles,... he says. The environmentally conscious singer says the other reason for releasing the album online was because it's green....

Besides his songs, music videos of Lucky Ali's songs like O Sanam, Anjaani Raho Mein, Kitni Haseen Zindagi were equally appreciated for being visually engaging. With a digital release, one wonders if there are any videos for Xsuie. Interestingly, Ali would be shooting videos for all the 16 tracks and is heading to New Zealand for the same.

UPDATES

As far as acting goes, Lucky Ali will be seen acting in comic film Rock Shocks and travelogue film Rastaman for which he is also composing.
