Madonna inks deal with Universal's Interscope Records

MUMBAI: Queen of Pop, Madonna has signed a three-album deal with Universal's Interscope Records which will earn her a base of $1 million per album.

Being associated with Warner Bros for over 25 years, these albums will be the pop-diva's first record outside the label. The first album for Interscope is slated to be released in 2012.

Interscope Records won't have rights on the singer's lucrative back catalogue which still remains with Warner Bros. The deal will allow Madonna to continue her tour with LiveNations with whom the singer had signed a 10 year high-profile '360' deal in 2007.

At Interscope, Madonna will join artistes including Robbie Williams, 50 Cent, P Diddy, Lady Gaga and many more.
