Max Mueller Bangalore to hold Carnatic music concert on 14 Oct

BANGALORE: Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Bangalore (ICCR) will present a Carnatic Music Concert, Nadopasana (The Divine Sound) featuring Herbert Erich Lang (Kanjira) , Ambi Subramaniam (Violin), V. Ramanamurthi (Mridangam), and Ganthasala Satya Sai (Morsing) on October 14 at the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore.

Herbert Erich Lang is an ICCR scholar and Visiting Professor in Carnatic Music from Germany. He studied music at the Tamil Nadu Government College of Carnatic Music in Chennai and the University of Madras, and continued Mridangam / drum studies under Padmashree Palghat R Raghu.

Ambi Subramaniam  or Lakshminarayana Subramaniam, is the son of famous musician  Dr. L. Subramaniam. He gave his first performance at the age of seven and has performed in India and abroad. Ambi plays Western and Carnatic violin with equal ease and performs solo and also along with his illustrious father.
