Mumbai: Music Today in association with HSBC and Taj President have launched a commemorative album Lifestory of a Legend by Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma on 1st December. The album was formally launched by the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai A.N.Roy.  living phenomenon, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharmas name is synonymous with his instrument and this album takes a walk through the legends career spanning over half a century.

The celebrated maestro of Hindustani classical music started his exciting musical saga when he was just five years old. As the golden years passed by, he constantly evolved with new techniques and distinct styles. Initially the sound of santoor echoed only in the beautiful Valley of Kashmir, however the legend with his unflinching dedication and genius made santoor a globally acclaimed instrument and an integral part of the classical genre, informs an official release.
