MUMBAI: The Two music maestros Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Zakir Hussain came together to perform an enchanting jugalbandi at TMA Pai Convention Centre last week.

It was the treat for the audience of the city who were left enchanted by the performance, which began with Raag Yamuna by Pandit Sharma.

The Convention center which was packed with music lovers and was organised as part of the ongoing Karavali Utsav.

The greatest exponent of the 100 stringed santoor performs Rag Rageshri. Shivkumar is the ultimate rhythm magician. Originally trained as a tabla player, his lay kari (rhythm play) is matched only by Zakir. For 30 years, the duet of Shivkumar Sharma and Zakir Hussain has thrilled audiences. As Shivkumar himself says, (no one knows my mind like Zakir and this recording brings some of their amazing connection to our ears and hearts.
