My FM to celebrate world population day

MUMBAI: Bhaskar Group's My FM is set to counsel its listeners about the virtues of small family and the ill effects of population explosion on the 'World Population Day' on 11 July.

All the 17 stations of My FM will spread the message of Chhota Pariwar Sukhi Pariwar (small family is happy family).

The RJs will also share interesting facts based on population data. Additionally, the stations will also be holding street play competition among the local colleges.

My FM COO Harrish M Bhatia said, We have always taken up social causes to discharge our corporate social responsibility and world population day is another such occasion when we can spread awareness through our 17 stations. As part of the campaign, My FM Jaipur is doing a look out exercise for a character called Lala Singh who has about eight to 12 kids and plays his interview conducted in a humorous manner.

Meanwhile, My FM Indore will give away male-female condoms and contraceptives as gifts to the winners of quiz competitions based on facts related to population explosion.

My FM Nagpur will hold a poster competition on the theme ?‹?“Increasing population bane or boon and will display the winning posters at Inox for 10 days.

MY FM Jodhpur will encourage the listeners to coin new slogans on controlling population.
