New set of characters for High School Musical 4
MUMBAI: After the enormous success of High School Musical 3 - the TV series turned film, news reports have been over the web about High School Musical 4 to be released in 2010 as a film. However, Disney has revealed that they will be introducing a whole new set of characters in the film and is unlikely to feature any of the original cast.
Details of the new cast members have not yet been announced, but the plot will follow a love triangle between rivals East High School – the focus of the original trilogy – and West High School. Peter Barsocchini, who wrote each of the first three
movies in the franchise, will return to write the script.
After High School Musical's debut in 2006, the TV series drew an audience of 7.7 million. It's continuation, High School Musical 2 doubled viewership of the original with 17.2 million in 2007. Keeping the tempo, the theatre release of High School Musical 3 in 2008 made more than $40 million on its opening.
