MUMBAI: The diamond jewellery brand Orra joined hands with Pancham Nishad, an organisation dedicated to promoting, popularising and propagating Indian classical music, to host the sixth series of the bi-monthly concert `Surabhi.`

The event which was held in Mumbai on 24 March had enthralling performances by vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan and talented sitarist Niladri Kumar.

Surabhi was inaugurated by the living legend Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar on 12th February and is one of top ten events in the city`s cultural diary, states the release.

Ustad Rashid Khan, one of the most sought after vocalist in India has included slow elaboration in his vilambit khayals in the manner same as his maternal uncle, late ustad Nassir hussain Khan Saheb.Niladri Kumar one of the young exponents of sitar representing the fifth generation of Sitarists has had years of training. He has enriched his music with the artistic aspects and nuances of diverse gharana styles.
