Radio City back with GPL Season II
MUMBAI: Radio City is back with the second season of Gully Premier League (GPL).
The month long activity with series of matches will be played across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Nagpur, Surat, Baroda, Vizag and Coimbatore.
The tournament invites local cricket teams to play against each other for the GPL trophy and a cash prize up to Rs 1 lakh. More than 14,000 teams have registered for the tournament. The entire event is executed in four phases – qualifiers, quarter finals, semi finals and finale.
Elaborating on this initiative, Radio City 91.1 FM COO & president Ashit Kukian said, “Gully Premier League happens to be our biggest brand activation that identifies and incentivizes cricket talent among the listeners. Season II of GPL is bigger as we reach out to 14 cities across India and we really look forward to great responses from the youth of India.”
