Radio Indigo to bring in Dutch jazz band Agog to Bangalore

BANGALORE: Radio Indigo is bringing in Amsterdams jazz band Agog to Bangalore for a performance on 2 May 2008 as a part of the ?‹?“The Black Dog Jazz Incident.

The band comprises guitarist Frank Wingold, drummer Joost Lijbaart and bass guitarist Mark Haanstra. The trio started in September 2001, with the launch of their first CD ?‹?“Shortcuts to Detours. In July 2002, the band won the Dutch Jazz Competition, after which the band has been doing many concerts each year both in and outside the Netherlands.?‹?“The Black Dog Jazz Incident claims to be more than just one occasion to celebrate jazz. BD and RI brought in an international Jazz and blues festival ?“ ?‹?“Indigo & Blues to Bangalore in December last year. The two have partnered to bring in several International Jazz appearances to the city in an endeavor to put Bangalore on the International jazz map. Recently, the Black Dog Jazz Incident brought the French Alain Brunet trio and the Animation Jazz band featuring Grammy winner Bob Belden to Bangalore.
