Radio Indigo pays tribute to Kargil martyrs

BANGALORE: Radio Indigo 91.9 FM Bangalore will pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Kargil war. On 26 July commemorated as ?‹?“Kargil day, the station will pay respects to the brave soldiers of Karnataka who laid down their lives for the nation.

On the morning show Big Breakfast RJ Cindu will talk to Shankuntala Bhandarkar, the wife of Martyr Lt Col Ajith Bhandarkarwith. According to an official release, listeners have come forward to air their tributes to the war heroes and Radio Indigo will run the messages through the day.

Radio Indigo national programming director Geoffrey G Thomas said, We salute the brave men who laid down their lives for us to lead a secure life. This is our gesture to pay our respects and gratitude.
