Radio Mirchi premieres the music of Rajneeti

MUMBAI: As a part of its Mirchi music Premiere' activity, Radio Mirchi on Tuesday premiered the music of Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti' on its breakfast show hosted by RJ Jeeturaaj. Unveiling the songs with Jeeturaaj were the film's lead pair, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif along with director Prakash Jha.

The trio launched the music of the film, beginning with Mora piya' composed and sung by by Aadesh Shrivastava and moved on to two other songs from the film. They also entertained the listeners by reminiscing about the movie that is set against the volatile political backdrop of India and shared interesting trivia and memories from the shoot days.

Talking about the film, Ranbir said, Whilst Raajneeti is not really a musical film and is basically a political thriller, there are a few beautifully composed songs and â€?Mora Piya' is one of them.... When quizzed about what she thought about the song, Katrina added,  I haven't heard the song enough times to love it, but I certainly like it a lot....

Director Prakash Jha spoke about a peppy number picturised on Katrina and Ranbir in a nightclub called Ishq barse'. He added, I told Shantanu Moitra that he had to compose this number and he was shocked because it was not his genre and he had never worked on a fast paced number of this sort, but that's when I told him, that's why you will be different and I want you to compose it, and he has done a great job composing it!...

The trio also spoke about going to colleges next month and finding out the views of Youth on politics. Radio Mirchi will be the promotional partner to the entire activity across the country.

As a new trend of music promotion, Radio Mirchi will host on-air music premieres of upcoming films on its shows with its  popular RJs. The listeners can listen to the exclusive preview of the new music on this block and also get to hear the stars talk about their experiences.
