Radio One and BBC to broadcast ICC Champions coverage

MUMBAI: The private FM player Radio One and its joint venture partner BBC have been presenting the ICC Champions Trophy cricket coverage. The FM channel has roped in all the top cricket players Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag, Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara. Radio One will be bringing in more such action for next few weeks.

They will provide ball by ball updates, sports bulletins, interviews with the circket stars and guru through out the ICC Champions Trophy.

"Cricket forms a regular staple in our programming content and who better than the BCC to partner for such an event," says Radio One VP programming head Vishnu Athreya. "Their coverage of the event is spectacular and they understand what the radio format demands which is a very important in a market where there is so much cricket all around".

Apart from the updates and the interviews Radio One also has in store some great contests where the listeners can win the actual jerseys of the Indian cricket team courtesy Nike, informs an official release.
