Red FM to celebrate 10th anniversary in Kolkata

MUMBAI: Celebrating its 10th anniversary in the city of Kolkata, leading broadcaster Red FM will host a musical extravaganza of 10 concerts with its event property Red Live.

The land of music legends will witness 10 nights of musical revelry. The concerts will be hosted in ‘paras’ across the city, and will culminate on 5 May with a performance by popular bollywood singer Shalmali Kholgade and more.

The station claimed that festivities will be continued with more activities, which will be revealed at a later stage. The events are stated to be attended by popular celebrities from Kolkata. The entire activity will be promoted through a campaign integrating print, television and outdoor media including hoardings, canter and multiplexes.

As reported by Radioandmusic.com earlier, Red FM general manager marketing Rajat Uppal stated, “Infact we have just closed in the second outing of Red Live in Kolkata. We are completing 10 years in the city, so we are doing 10 concerts over 10 days in different areas and then culminating it with a big concert. They will start in another couple of days, as we complete 10 years in the first week of May.”

Commenting on the occasion, Red FM chief operating officer Nisha Narayanan said, “Kolkata has given the nation some of the finest music maestros, who have produced exceptional music. It is a joyous moment for us to complete 10 years in a city that boasts of such rich heritage and culture. And we have come up with an equally grand concept to celebrate this occasion. Under the Red Live wing, we have undertaken this initiative of giving the city 10 live music concerts in 10 days. We are sure that the city and all our listeners would enjoy this festival immensely.”

Red Live is a part of the network’s foray into the live concerts and events space. The initiative was launched last year. Popular celebrities in Kolkata will also be attending these events.
