MUMBAI: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Bollywood’s renowned musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will release a new single ‘Humko Hai Asha’ at Bandstand in Mumbai today.

Penned by Prasoon Joshi, the single is rendered by Shankar Mahadevan’s son Siddharth and Loy Mendonsa’s daughter Alyssa along with an ensemble of Bhamla foundation kids. The video for the song, shot by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, will also be launched on the web soon.

Speaking about the single with Radioandmusic.com, Shankar Mahadevan said, “The new single is especially dedicated to environment and speaks about the various ways our environment has been polluted. The highlight of the track is that it’s sung by kids, who are taking the global issue more seriously than adults and want to save it. We are happy that the song is supported by Bhamla’s foundation.”
