Taylor Swift to advise seventh season of 'The Voice' contestants

MUMBAI: At 24 years old, Taylor Swift sure has a long way to go as a musician. However, the pop superstar will soon be dishing out advice to contestants on NBC's 'The Voice', it has been reported. The 'Love Story' singer is rumoured to be joining the seventh season of reality singing show's as an advisor to its contestants.

Like Coldplay frontman- Chris Martin, who took on the same role in season six of 'The Voice', Swift will supposedly play mentor to contestants from all four teams on the show. In addition to Swift, each team will also have its own mentor, who will be working closely with the team coaches.

Adam Levine's team will be mentored by iconic Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, while Blake Shelton will be helped by country group Little Big Town. First time coaches Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, will be joined by Alicia Keys and Gavin Rossdale (Stefani's husband), respectively, to help them with their teams.

Swift recently released a brand new single 'Shake it Off', from her upcoming album '1989', which is slated for release on 27 October this year. The single, which was released on 18 August, debuted at the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, making it her second single to get the number one spot in the US.
