Times launched music of `Kahani Gudiya Ki`
MUMBAI: Times Music has released the music of forthcoming film, `Kahani Gudiya ki`, it was launched by Renowned ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh.Also present at the occasion were Anup Jalota, World renowned flutist Raghunath Seth, Arif Zakaria, Seema Biswa and the film director Prabhakar Shukla.Addressing the media at the launch of the music, Jagjit Singh said ``Nowadays in films you cannot make out where is the rhythm and where are the lyrics. First they make tunes and then the lyrics to suit the tunes. But in this film, every song is in its place and all the three songs that I have sung are my favourites.``
The album has three ghazals rendered by ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh, a peppy marriage song by Sadhana Sargam, and a qawwali sung by Habib Sabri. The first ghazal - Dard Apna kah na paaye sung by Jagjit Singh portrays the long four years of traumatic wait of Gudiya for her first husband who went off to the Kargil war, and the second song - Jis Rut Mein Chudiyaan, sung by sadhana Sargam is a celebration song of Gudiya`s second marriage. The title track - Gudiya Tujh Par Ik Pal Rona sung by Jagjit Singh, aptly describes the social and psychological stress which she underwent. The Qawwali - Dua Qubool Karo is the cry of a woman praying to the almighty is sung by Habib Sabri. The last song - Har Ek Faisla very effectively conveys the untimely heavenly abode of Gudiya in the deep baritone voice of Jagjit Singh.
Madan Pal has penned the lyrics while Vivek Prakash has composed the tunes.
