US co creates music package for weather website

MUMBAI : US based Stephen Arnold Music has completed a custom music package for WeatherBug, a weather information and services provider.

The package, which will be used for WeatherBug's Internet video casts for both its Web site and VCAST products, responds to the larger growing demand for original music designed specifically to brand Internet content.Stephen Arnold Music was asked to develop a sonic brand and several music themes for WeatherBug. The music was designed to serve three primary elements on their Web site-National Weather Outlook, Live and Local Weather, and Severe Weather-and was delivered in a variety of timings and formats, as some of WeatherBug's online video weather reports are automated.

"The music had to make a strong, quick statement on the intros and then segue into a loopable music bed for automated virtual video casts," said Chad Cook, Vice President of Creative Services for Stephen Arnold Music. "Working within such parameters can certainly be challenging, but it's a challenge we particularly enjoy and met head-on with this project."

Cook, along with Clay Lorance, produced the music, and Lorance also serviced as Engineer/Post Production.

WeatherBug's new sonic brand and themes will be available on the WeatherBug Website (http://www.weatherbug.com) and may also be heard on WeatherBug's VCAST products on Verizon beginning this week, says a release.
