MUMBAI: Channel [V] won the ?‹?“Best Music Channel award while Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 by Zee Telefilms Ltd pocketed the best music programme award at Indiantelevision.com's New Talent Awards that incorporated the Indian Telly Technical Trade, Channel and Programming (TTTCP) Awards, honouring the real stars behind television , on Saturday . The award s recognise the production teams, the marketing whiz kids, the ad sales teams and the programmers behind any creative idea or show.

Star Plus and its premium afternoon soap Kumkum Pyara Sa Bhandhan was the highlight of the event , bagging four awards in the music category. Composer Lalit Sen won thse music directors award for his compositions of title track for Kumkum Pyara Sa Bhandhan. Nawab Arzoo bagged award for lyrics of the title track and Pamela Jain won in the singer category again for Kumkum Pyara Sa Bhandhan. Background composer Bitu Merchant won the award for his compositions for Star Plus show Ssshhh¦ Phir Koi Hai.The awards night was anchored by television stars Cyrus Sahukar and Barkha Bisht. The glittering , star-studded night was marked by lively performances to Bollywood tunes by TV actors Sayantani Ghosh, Mouni Roy, Romit Raj, Vikas Sethi, Parul Chauhan and Krystal D'Souza among others.
