VH1's Wyclef Jean's performs at Bangalore's Hard Rock Caf®

BANGALORE: Vh1 channel along with BRU Ice Cappuccino brought Wyclef Jean performing live for the first time in India for their annual property Vh1 Handpicked. Wyclef kick started his 3-city India performance yesterday at Hard Rock Cafe in Bangalore, and will be performing in Pune on April 18 and Mumbai on the April 19.

It was a crowd of almost 500 people, with tickets being priced at Rs. 500 per head.The crowd went wild right from the word go when Wyclef and his band started playing. Jerusalem, Maria Maria and Hips don't lie were among the popular numbers that the jazz and reggae singer sang.

The 11.00 PM curfew that is being strictly observed and enforced in Bangalore resulted in the show ending in about two hours. "In the US, the show starts after 2.00 AM", said Wyclef. Disappointed fans did not let him off until he performed one last number-his idol Bob Marley's I shot the Sherriff.

In addition to singing, rapping and playing guitar, Wyclef has established himself as a noted producer and has collaborated with an impressive array of artistes including Bono, Santana, Shakira, Destiny's Child and Black Eyed Peas.
