Worldwide Records expands Global Distribution

MUMBAI: Worldwide Records, a label based in Mumbai, representing International labels in India through a licensing and distribution arrangement, has announced that it has expanded its digital and mobile distribution outside of India and is now covering more than 667 digital and mobile outlets in 75 countries. Content Partners and Music Labels under Worldwide Records now have the advantage of showcasing their music and artists to untouched international audience,... a company statement says 

There has been a substantial growth of 10-15 % in Music sales the last year and by end of this year it is expected to cross 20-25%. This is a positive development following the adverse trends of the last 3 years.

The label, which releases genres of World Fusion, New Age, Dance and Experimental music, has announced that it would like to extend this platform to Music Labels in India who currently do not have this advantage....

Worldwide Records was the first label to introduce the lounge music scene to India with the launch of Buddha Bar and Claude Challe music series.

Its own repertoire consists of Indian Classical, Tradional Folk, Hindustani, Ghazal, Sufi, Indian Spiritual and World Fusion. The company is also actively involved in making specialised custom CDs and organising film festivals in India. Worldwide Records has its activities in other fields of Entertainment like Digital Mobile Entertainment, Mobile TV, SMS & Voice Services, Film Distrubution, CD/DVD Replication Services, Printing and Packaging.
