The animated character Bol Bachan on Zee Music has some very strong opinions.The animated character Bol Bachchan is the brain child of Senior Executive producer - Programming Ryan and Amit Balwani and executed by Surge productions.

Says Ryan, `The first vignette we aired on 12 March had a spoof on the whole KBC Big B versus SRK debate. Bol Bacchan of course believes that he is the ultimate Big B. The aim is to take potshots at the Bollywood biggies- all in good humour of course.Bol Bacchan takes the mickey out of the Bollywood stars.`

Zee Music plans to use the character to pull in some humour into the channel`s programming. Speaking about opting for an animated character instead of a regular anchor Ryan says, `It`s easier to work around tongue in cheek humour with an animated character rather than go through the whole baggage of getting in an anchor. Also an animated character has a universal appeal. Bol Bacchan`s opinionated persona will appeal to people across age groups.`

The two and a half minute vignette is at present playing on high rotation on the music channel. Says Ryan, `Since it`s just launched we are playing it at least 10 - 12 times through the day.`

Each vignette ends with Bol Bacchan being killed by the victims of his jokes at the end. `Mar gaye Bol Bachchan` is the refrain heard but of course he makes a comeback with yet another spoof on Bollywood and its stars.
