Murder 2

Music: Harshit Saxena, Sangeet & Siddharth Haldipur, Mithoon

Artists: Various

Label: T-Series

When the promos of the Murder 2 got aired with 'Hale Dil' as a background track the instant reaction was â€?Wow' the album has hit the mark like 'Bheege Hont Tere' and 'Kaho Na Kaho', but alas, it is just the camouflage. The main drawback of the album is that the songs are clich?© and follow the same Bhatt's style in composition and singing. The album is brief with eight tracks among which three are remixes.

'Hale Dil' the first track of the album is one of the exceptions; the song is beautifully composed and sung by the reality show singer Harshit Saxena with a romantic lyrics penned by Sayeed Quadri. Even though the song is clich?© and instantly reminds you about Raaz 2 hit track â€?Maahi', the tune is quiet hummable and registers in listeners mind. The music is subtle with minimum instruments, the perfect combination of the strings, drums and synthesizer has tinted the beauty of the songs, lending the perfect romantic feel. The song is also in an acoustic version.

The next song is a monotonous sexy dance number Aa Zara' composed by Sangeet and Siddharth Haldipur. The song is a major set back of the album offering nothing to its listeners' plate, neither from singer side nor from composer. Even the remixed version doesn't help to arise the interest at large.

The third track of the album Aye Khuda' has some good lyrics and vocals but the music instantly make you realize the song has the same age old Bhatt's style composition with new composers. The song is done better with innovative composition in 'Aye Khuda remix' with some high techno beats giving a new feel to the dreary song.

'Phir Mohabbat' is another romantic song of the movie with innovative beats, but the slow paced music may go well with few listeners, thus making the song quiet picky. Even though it's a romantic song it fails to add the emotion quotient and touch the heart of listerners. Following the same line of Aa Zara' is the last track of the album Tujhko Bhulaana,' the song is yet another let down with loud musical beats and weary lyrics.

Well, the album surely is not what was expected from Bhatt camp and fails to re-create the magic of Murder.
